The Hug-gable Hologram is a part of a performative dance installation project designed Erika R. Moore in collaboration with Pat Pataranutaporn. Moore and Pat participated in The Studio for the Future of Arts and Culture lab with artists from Arizona State University, Bennington College and leadership from Stanford Center for Cultural Innovation.
The Hug-gable Hologram was a 3D projected image used to guide participants through the “Experience Museum”. The museum itself was a prototype of how such institutions could be used to reframe history, culture, and personal narrative as well as how accessible it could be for individuals older in age and with physical or mental disabilities.
“I realized after presenting the project that there is a lot of unpacked potential in discovering the role of artist and scientist in relation to aging, social construction and performance.”
