“Movement Speaks” is an intricate multi-media dance theater performance inspired by the passing of Arizona’s House Bill 2281. Using elements of voice, video and body, this show illustrates the disparities present in communities affected by the ban on ethnic studies. Topics of race, discrimination, power and freedom were explored by dancers and community members who live in Tucson, Arizona and Central Arizona.
“Movement Speaks” Has been performed at ASU Kerr Cultural Center Meridian Showcase – MFA Thesis Presentation, Phoenix Center for the Performing Arts and the extended documentary was shown at Scottsdale Center of Contemporary Arts.
